What is our Business?
We are a private limited liability company incorporated in 1981. Our primary goal is to facilitate customers who import various types of cargo, but do not have immediate sale for the entire shipment. The cargo can be stored in our bonded area without having to pay all applicable duties and V.A.T upfront, thereby freeing up the customer’s cash flow until a definite sale is forthcoming. It also gives our customer the ability to export/transship and resell their products to other countries without paying any duties whatsoever. This will ensure that the product maintains a competitive edge over competition for the export market.
33 Tissue Drive, Trincity Industrial Estate. There is one entrance to the development which enhances our security measures. The entrance road off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway is marked by the Shops of Trincity commercial facility, which also houses a Häagen Dazs Café. The location is also ideal as it is midway between Port of Spain and the Port and San Fernando and the Point Lisas Port. It is also close to the Piarco International Airport. Therefore we are accessible, safe and secure!
About our Facility
The warehouse and the compound are bonded areas. Currently there are about fifty (50) customers (companies and a few individuals) who use the services of the warehouse and have goods bonded there; therefore we seek to ensure safety and security in operations for both our customers and employees. Additionally, there is also a full time Customs and Excise Officer on duty every day from Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm.
The professionally designed and constructed building is approximately 17,000 sq. ft. in size and stands on 32,215 sq. ft. of Freehold land. It is a substantial steel framed structure and the walls are of pre-cast/reinforced concrete slabs. There are no columns within the warehouse building. The steel columns are fire proofed by M. Phillip Associates Limited, using NULLIFIRE Process and carry a 1-hour rating. The floor is seven inch reinforced cast concrete and the roof is covered with corrugated metal sheeting.
Entrance to the Warehouse is by three (3) large steel doors that are secured with Chubb High Security locks, and is protected by a state-of-the-art security system.
The interior of the warehouse is well lit by large sodium lights, as well as double florescent fixtures on both sides. There are approximately eight hot air ventilators on the roof to extract hot air from inside the warehouse, and also temperature controlled cool rooms available for the storage of wine.
The compound is brightly lit at night by eight (8) Sylvania Dusk to Dawn lights evenly spaced around the building. There are also two (2) very bright sodium lights at the back for additional lighting, and one (1) by the front main entrance into the warehouse.
We conduct regular maintenance of our premises and hence we are pleased with its excellent condition!
